Hi Yuri, I was at both the 2007 party when Sasha was peaking again on the prog scene and at the Black and Blue 2009 edition. A few reasons why I think the B&B Sasha-Diggers set was nothing compared to Pepsi Forum:

1)Sound was shit, very uneven

2)Decor, light show (which light show?), stage location and overall layout was terrible. Felt like a cheap party compared to an overproduced Tribe party in 2007

3)Sasha was passed out for most of his set and Digweed ended playing much longer which hurt the set flow. Ok I’m exaggerating a bit but Digweed did play longer. At pepsi forum, both were so on point, mixing was tight and programming was near perfect.

4)Their B&B set = not banging enough for a massive

5)Was sober at Black & Blue

Fair enough, a friend of mine went to the Pepsi forum event and from what I heard it was incredible. Wish I could have made it that time ...

Sasha WAS wasted that time, but John is the man and did what he had to do ... This is the reality of Sasha though

I saw those two play for about 8 hours in Victoria for Summerschool 2000 and by the end of it Sasha couldn't even talk ... but still played a stellar set!

Sometimes though the overall experience ends up being great despite some sub-par details ... Had a lot of fun at B&B that time with S&D

Rave is such a lame word, like a 50 year old guy talking about an all night party.

I'm in Montreal often, but there are two parties that really stand out for me.

May 03rd, 2008 - Danny Torrence/Victor Calderone at Stereo. I've seen Victor pretty much every time he's played Stereo since 2007, but this party was le tops. Danny and Victor were both on fire that night, such an epic party. I still have the poster in my room.

September 2009 - Roger Sanchez at Stereo. I came into this party with such low expectations, I just went to Stereo because it was Stereo and I wanted to show my friend the club. I was expecting Roger to cheese it up and I would leave in 2 hours. Boy, was I ever wrong...

I was there with some people that I respect their musical opinion, and we were all blown away. Such an incredible night, great vibe, Roger on point, wow....

Not quite shure what u mean about the 50 year old guy = lame ??
Anyway my reply really goes to your mention of Sanchez he is proberbly the dj that reads best Stereo crowd except maybe for a few more and we all know who those are.
