I actually made it out for this after a really good night of Bender killing UN. Thought Danny was ok but didn't catch much of his set. I think it was Maher who came on after? This was the better part of the morning to be honest ;-) Unfortunately, I think their we're a total of 4 women in the place so that was a downer.

The crew I was with all came with me to Aria until 2pm years ago... Guess the expectations are really high for Mr. Howells.

hmm.. i saw lots of ladies that night, maybe most of them left by 8am but the crowd was nicely mixed that night :P

ok so the general vibe I am reading is Danny Sucked this recent trip to Stereo.

What's the chances you all think Danny will be back at Stereo again anytime soon?? Cause it sounds like he has flopped the past couple times I doubt management will want that back again.

he didn't suck. his set just had little flow and progression to it. on a graph, his performance would have high peaks & low valleys. what a dancefloor wants is a direct linear relationship, a build, a solid progression.

when he was up, he was fucking good. when he was down, the dancefloor felt it, and so did he. he's extremely critical of himself. and yes, maher closed the night because danny had a very early flight to catch, not because he didn't want to continue playing. the sound issues hardly bothered him, he was very professional about the whole glitch.

no grounds to never book him again, to do so would be quite harsh.

very true, the last time I saw Danny was Canada Day last year at Stereo, and honestly I had a pretty good night and thought Danny did well. Plus that was the first time I popped a close friend Stereo cherry and she enjoyed the night as well. Which was good because it was her first time.

But then I hear comparisons to his set that was the same night as Black and Blue 2009, this past Friday as well as whenever his last night at Stereo was, which sorry off hand I can't exactly remember.... earlier this year........ I think......

And anyhow all the comments and reviews for the most part weren't stellar, which can't be a good thing for Danny. Agreed that not all nights will be great everyone has better nights than other nights. But hopefully this bad Danny trend doesn't last.

I'm curious to hear reports from his other gigs... if this is just a fluke in Mtl or if he's losing steam at other venues too. I'm certainly not counting him out though.
