MP3 isnt sellin out Auto beatmatching is
Well id like to say this. I also use VTT. To say that its much easier than decks or cddecks is not accurate. IMO. For me i learned how to mix using VTT took me almost 3 years. I spent about half a day at my friends house with vinyl and it was just a switch of skiils one to the other. Its the skill of mixing the skill of beatmatching by ear.
Software to decks to cds can have automated BPM counters. Using any of these and autobpm would be easier and cheating of course. But u cant ban one becuz it has autobpm while all the others have the same possibllity of having this function.
As for mp3s and gettin latest stuff i think thats just using your resources. If using decks u could easily throw in a new mp3 on its not like u gotta get equipment for it.
If ppol can play in clubs using mp3s and gettin ppol dancing and having a good time and enjoying the music the reason djs are djs then it should also be allowed in battle.
the fact that you will never know which format is truly being used should be the main reason to allow it along with these other reasons.
