Try the Chords Of Life preset in zeta (same bank as 8 bar first contact) and work from there

Easy mistake man.

Tbh unless you ask the dude himself there are about half a dozen things at least that could cause the effect, gotta say Robbie made me doubt myself. Your ears play better tricks than your eyes. Rox usually makes some damn fine calls so I'd trust him with this shit usually, just misjudged things this time round.

I agree. It's just some EQ automation over the kickdrum. Estiva does that too, in a lot of his tracks, for the first 30 seconds. Then he removes the (very high set!) lowcut so things sound fuller.

I'm not talking about the first Tiesto vid, just about how the sound can be achieved.

???Not sure what you mean by that. I remember one of the recent Trancemaster CDs had a Tiesto track on it that was unlistenably badly mixed/mastered. He has some good sounding songs as well, but for me "Come on it's Tiesto" makes no sense.

Haha I have never heard a bad mixed/mastered track by Tiesto. By "Come on it's Tiesto" I mean his quality of his tracks are top notch, professional, so it makes complete sense. Duhhhh.

Yes. So I could use this essentially as a bass? Maybe add some sub bass?

I had to put it on 1080p, put on my Senns and raise the volume cuz I couldn't hear shit, well besides the bass changing. It's very subtle but I finally heard it. I'm with Blake on this one. When I wanna do that, I double my kicks and filter one of them out.
