ok so lets give an outrageouss statistic far from reality. At best 1 in 4 are good, So What are the chances the one you land upon will be good?
Its up to you if u wanna pay 500 for a few hours for someone to play abba and celine dion off of a limewire playlist. The good news is. If they played copyrighted music for your event, and DO NOT have a music liscence which is required for a music specialty like djs. You can sue them for what they charged you, if they are part of a large business, and have been making a living off of copyrighted acts and without a license, well than you can win big time.
Some lawyers have had private parties with dj's they knew that did not posess a license, just so they could get experience and practise in court. Evil. But. Hey. It's a dog eat dog world.
You need a license to make a living off of copyrighted labels.
Something to consider, if your wedding dj overcharged you, didnt deliver, and now you feel like being a real prick.
Save your hot blooded comments, im just being honest.
