I think they're more of a specialty item here. I don't really know anybody who hunts for mushrooms here in the states, and I haven't seen them for sale at stores around me. I've seen them at some places in NYC but even my local specialty grocer doesn't carry them. As a child I hunted for them in Austria so I recognize them.

monkfish sashimi i now crave...the one advantage over lobster is that you can eat it raw.
