I just saw John Digweed and Carl Cox last night. Not my type of music, but I just wanted to see what they were all about. It was my first time seeing both of them.
Honestly, John Digweed was so chill to move to. Carl Cox played the same medium energy level beats nearly the whole time and it didn't go anywhere.
I kinda enjoyed myself. But on my walk home, I listened to my ipod (nearly all trance) and I thought "Holy shit if I heard trance it woulda been sooooooooo much better."
But you know what, I'm glad I gave it a shot so that I wouldn't be so closed-minded.
I will vote for armin and not guetta just to not have guetta win. But you know what? I'm checking out david guetta tomorrow night (I'm currently in macedonia). I know I'll hate it, but it'll be a nice party.
I'm pretty sure that after hearing John, Carl, and David, I will still think trance is so much better to listen to live, bar none, but at least I'll now for sure what kinda music I REALLY like.
