Jah i pmed you about this but i felt i should post something similar incase you dont get the PM.
You hit it bang on basically. The whole uplifting/epic/whatever you want to call it scene is really running dry on me. I guess almost 3 years of it will do that to you. Maybe its just that i can tell what the song is gonna be like before i even hit play. The same structure all the time. I think i got a rude awakening when i went and met wookieslut,slylee and spective almost 4 weeks ago (Seems like such a long time ago). I came there loving the same type of shit: buildup to pause where vocals come in and the repeat the beat. I came out having mad respect for orginality, and wanting to take a chance to explore other sounds. Wook and Spective really played some nice sounding DIFFERENT stuff. Im now looking for more original shit and its driven me to breaks, trancey breaks and progressive trance. Beber and Tamra is one example of originality, same with Way out west , Hybrid and James Holden. Most of this can be attributed to Slylee's kick ass tracks she used to send me (dont see her one much anymore), as well as Miki sending me some nice tracks. I just think after 3 years of the same shit im getting tired of it. It sucks, but i guess its called maturing? I cant believe i used to like that one song i sent Slyee a while ago: Foggy - Come into my Dream, what was i THINKING!!
Anywho that was probably one really badly written paragraph which should have been two, i dont know and i dont care, just hope it makes some sense.
