Well yeah, that's pretty obvious, you'd sacrifice alot for a person you love. That doesn't mean you can't have a life of your own, atleast that's the way I see it

Hell no. Some people will be awesome parents and (hopefully) spawn awesome kids, who will be awesome parents, etc etc. For some people being a parent suits them. For others it is, well, not. Sadly most people are not suited to be parents, they just don't know it.

Agreed, children are definitely not for everyone, and unfortunately, more people who are unfit to raise children are having children than those who ARE fit to raise children. All of you are intelligent human beings, and should pass along your genetics to a child in my opinion. Your intelligence puts you at an advantage to raising children over those who aren't quite as clever, creative, or smart. At some point in my life, I wish to spawn one or two offspring and I will work with them on developing their brains and bodies in an appropriate manner so that they will lead fulfilling lives and make a difference in this fucked up planet we live on.

What "life of your own" you do have will be just a very short break from the task of parenting. So I think you had better be sure that you will enjoy the parenting itself, rather than just the little bits of "me time" that you can squeeze in.

If that's cool with you, then go for it.
