Good production quality. Maybe the mix is a little claustrophobic, no breathing room in there, but I guess maybe you want that in a peak time sort of tune. I have a problem with the melody after the break. Maybe it is just me, but it sounds rather cheesy and kind of reminds me of Mario Kart or like some bouncy Japanese dance pop for some reason. Sorry, just one man's impression...

I do think the sound itself (the one that plays the melody after the break) could turn into something pretty cool with some pitch bend and more reverb, but that would take things in a darker direction than what you are going for. Anyway, I would say you had me for the first half or so here, but kind of lost me after the break.

Okay, we have passed the halfway mark now. Nine more review spots left for this round, if anyone else wants them.

Everything seems well-balanced, and all the sounds seem well-designed. But it seems like they do not meld together so well, especially the bassline. I don't mean this in terms of the mix, but in terms of whether they feel like part of a coherent melodic whole. As a result, listening to the track doesn't give me any idea about where it is going, or any feeling of a "story" (don't really like that term, but it is probably the closest to what I mean). It sounds nice but I find myself thinking, "Okay, what's going to happen next?" Maybe I would change my mind about this if I heard a longer clip, though.

Keep it up and I will have a listen to the finished product.

Sorry, forgot to give you warning "you need to close your eyes before you click play button" lol - yeah, you/we definitely missing this build up part in this track, like intro to a book which set you up with idea or direction I will take to, anyway thank you for your review/opinion and the rest of the track is coming soon!

Sound like we are missing this "Soul" for this track yet?

Cheers man,

Darek

I really dislike the vocals, but I am guessing those were in the original (I have never heard it). Bass is nice and beefy. That portamento synth works very well as the lead. Only criticism is that the percussion feels a bit empty in the high end. But maybe I am just going deaf!

you sir, need to go back to the dictionary, go look up music.
then, you need to go look up the origins of trance.

i bet you dont even know how to string 2 notes on a melody together, so cant really judge mine, can you now?

ps. jealousy is a bad demon to have...

Don't get this to serious man, his is trying and an effort counts.

Yeah that comment about my bass line was kind of interesting (in my view) lol I used to play bass guitar and have some (a bit) of knowledge how bass line should seats in a track but again, this is his and only his opinion.

Cheers,

Darek

Sound quality seems fine here. Maybe the bass is a little "rumbly" and less defined than it could be, but it is hard to tell on headphones. For what it is worth, I do like the idea. I could imagine a bunch of short, repetitive, hypnotic layers being built on top of that low end for an old school style trance track.

Thanks for taking the time to have a go at it, appreciated!

I agree about the bassline part, the kick already got some makeup now. Your assumption about it being a oldschool-inspired acid trance track is correct.
