In this sense, I've got to disagree with Sushi: Although it is true that the COR has the tendency to take nothing seriously, which is the reason I still hang around, the unfriendly attitude that used to be an exception back in the day seems to have become something of a norm now. Thanks to this unfortunate tendency, even the most inane post can be followed by such a hateful backlash that you'd be excused to believe the CORe Swarm was saving the world from the Ku Klux Klan. Most of the time, it just direct its efforts against people that are as harmful as a poodle with Parkinson's disease. From Spacechica to Slylee, not to mention Theresa - all gone because we take nothing seriously, except friendliness.

Well, if everybody on here started rolling again, it would probably become friendly again.

I mean, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions there, but reading through the old threads it's pretty obvious that almost everybody was having a fucking blast with their friends all the time. And even if the TAs themselves weren't PLURing out every weekend, many of their IRL friends probably were, and said friends probably stopped partying and left the TAs feeling grumpy and old.

Add that to the fact that this site doesn't get many younger, newer members, and you end up with a lot of sarcastic in-jokes.

I did MDMA last weekend, and half the people on this place still annoy the piss out of me.

Called it for me. But you can also add that the music got shittier and the attitudes more arrogant, to the point where I don't even think I'm missing out on anything special. It was a good run while it lasted, I accept the fact that those binge weekenders are behind me now.

Yeah, I think the trend has much more to do with increasing age than decreasing drug use (assuming the latter is even happening).

Terrible Tuesday?

btw, every time that "Crackhead Alliance" thread gets bumped to the front page and I read it, I'm completely amazed at some of the stuff the human brain can take and still allow the person to function as a normal human being.

Especially some of the stories from early in the thread, yeesh!

I think NSFW privileges should apply to Hal only. VAR might get Swamper's servers raided one of these days
