there is this thing called Itunes. Guess what they keep, 40%. Honestly , your idea is not going to work because you are looking at it from the wrong end. Worry first about getting people buying , then sort the rest out. That is the problem with beatport, and well yoru system. It is only for EDM. And by making it EDM, you alienate the average person. They don't think of it as EDM.And unless you have about 100 000 kicking around, what on earth do you really plan to do. Keeping 70% of 0 is still 0. You don't get it, nobody is ever going to buy 99% of the shit they sell on beatport.

This is all nice talking about it and what not but it smells of the same bullshit coke talk that JOOF was shitting last month. It is lame. People that do stuff don't make fucking polls on TA about it. And considering the amount of shit that gets say on here, and well I 'm assuming you don't have the sort of capital to do anything remotely useful, well it just sounds like you are talking bullshit.

that track is 2 and a half years old as well, I'm not really sure why you went straight for the oldest track on my soundcloud as if it represents my current abilities as a producer. I never claimed to make "andy blueman shit".

Why on Earth you are so close minded man/you/Rich, ....., I though that you one of the best, cool minded, fresh look kind of guy which always have a different view and perspective then most people over here - what a disappointment.

How you going to learn running as a kid if you didn't even start walking on your own?? - every small fail is another step to success my friend and this may not happen overnight but at least will be a beginning of some interesting and massive but positive changes for producers in this industries.

Remember, changing this direction the industries operates is going to be slow process but at least we going to make it happen.

The problem isn't that Raphie isn't making money. Raphie shoudln't make money. The problem is that about only 5% of the people that like EDM manage to find a way to buy it and if you think you can run something that is not integrated into Itunes, dream on. Sure , your hardcore fans buy off your site, eveyrone else will be using Itunes. Accept that. Itunes is where the music business is and for the moment only is concerning download sales.

I am being realistic, what you are thinking about has been done and at this point in time, unless you have alot of money to even make a dent in itunes which you won't, what can you offer ? 70%? again 70% of 0 is 0.
