Door guys at Marquee don't care if you're staying at the Cosmo. They wouldn't know where their own brains were if it wasn't stuck in their heads.

I've stayed at the Cosmo twice, and each time you still need to pay to get into Marquee, regardless. I'll say one thing, the Cosmo is nice, but I've never meet so many idiots in one location in my entire life. From everyone from the desk to the restaurants and bars, idiots, all of them. The only place that I didn't feel like was ran by people just released from high school, was the sushi place.

Depends on the DJ and time. There is also a 3rd floor entrance for pre sale ticket holders and sometimes guestlist.

Black-American is the correct label? Are you suggesting that Africans no longer immigrate to America, and havent for 300+ years?

The term is supposed to categorize an ethnic background, not a skin color.

edit your comment... "I still needed to pay to get into marquee"

my pal dan just stayed at the cosmopolitan this past weekend, and went to marquee both nights he had no problems, but he's cheap like that. good for you for paying cover when you didnt have to, it's not illegal to do so.

your fault for meeting those people. go to front desk to check in to get your room keys, never interact with desk staff again(do check out via tv)
go to a bar, order drinks, never interact with bartenders again.
go to a restaurant order your food, never interact with servers again.
viola

I stayed at the Cosmo this past weekend. Our desk clerk informed us that Marquee doesn't make special exceptions for guests of the Cosmopolitan as the club has separate ownership. However, there was a separate line for guests of the hotel when we arrived at the club. We didn't stand there as we had 2 guests who were staying at the Mandarin and guests of the Cosmopolitan are not allowed to bring in any additional guests. I did check with the cashier if there were any reduced rates for hotel guests and she said "no discounts on Saturday".

Having stayed at the Venetian and Encore before, I must add that I did feel that Cosmopolitan was a lot more style than substance. Aside from all the glitz and glamour, the hotel maintenance is quite poor. The outdoor chair in our terrace was so dusty that there was no way anyone could manually clean it enough for me to be ok with sitting on it. Also, there were a lot of used towels in our closet and the soap in the bathroom was open. Neither was cleaned up the next day when we left our rooms and the cleaners came to make the beds. I did read several reviews of people citing similar complaints.

One positive: Our desk clerk, aside from the screw up about Marquee, actually sorted us out quite well. We had a terrace one bedroom and I tried to pull off the $20 trick to get upgraded to a room with a view of the Bellagio fountains. He just handed me back the 20$ and upgraded us anyway. The view from our room was spectacular.

Dont you know that omar is cheap and connected. You would never see him pay for anything at marquee, cause he knows the djs on a first name basis and stuff
