I have enough experience of DJing, 'working' (£0 earned) for review sites and generally just attending club nights for a decade to say that this #trancefamily bullshit is the worst thing ever to happen to the scene. Seriously, all it does is drive a wedge between those of us who generally just keep quiet and enjoy ourselves and those of you who feel some desperate need to constantly, loudly, reassure yourselves that this choice of music is superior to anything else (it isn't).

And as to the "work" you're referring to - at the risk of sounding like a complete douche - I have worked in the music industry for five years now, so I do have some idea of what I'm talking about. This is purely an OPINION piece, not a dissertation.

Yes, at least for their gigs in Tokyo. It's quite a bit...

Maybe it's safer for me to just stick to writing interviews and reviews...

Or stop writing altogether?

I've left gastronomical literature in the toilet that was more relevant to dance music than that blog.

She's trying to say that while Tiesto dines at Jean George's, A new comer DJ sticks to Domino's. It's legitimate.

And I'm glad someone chooses to read gastronomical literature while taking a dump. Something to ponder about. It's kind of like browsing through a shopping catalog whilst checking out at the cashiers.
