Don't use effects if you don't know what they do or how to use them. Good example: Multiband compression. A difficult thing to understand how to use properly, especially if you're a noob. Just don't.

DO use effects you don't understand. Start another project and focus solely on learning how to use that effect and practicing with it, over time you will begin to be able to deploy it into your productions. Do research simultaneously.

Rest your ears frequently. You may think you can keep going and you probably can, but ear fatigue can start to set in very quickly, as soon as 10 or 15 minutes in headphones if they are too loud, and not much longer with speakers. Your judgement becomes poor.

Have a billion samples. Simply put, the more the better. This can help your productions by inspiring you, and simply giving you more breadth and dimension to work with.

Mix low. This is pretty much universally agreed upon but people work differently. Mix/produce at low volume so your ears don't fatigue and so you can understand the mix better. If it sounds good low, it will probably sound even better loud. Once you get things locked together a little better, turn it up nice and loud to test out the mix, then go back down.

i've never told anyone to stop. Do what ever the fuck you want.

REgarding samples, having a billion will just increase the time it takes to find one that fits. Use an audio sample manager, catalogue your stuff, and stay organized. Don't collect samples .

And there is a noticeable difference, and it's motivating to have a pro sound while mixing, not just after the mixdown is done and hou play it on an expensive amplified system.
No it is not an oxymoron in my case. It's a piece of good advice, and it's based on my experience. And that of James Cameron. I've spent countless hours getting nowhere with a track, though I learn lots from it.

see , the problem is that unless you have a room that can make such small changes in sound noticeable, it just doesn't matter. People really need to use the 80/20 rule. Stop focusing on shit that might be correct but really, so fucking negligible in most of your cases that it is a waste of time and money.

You could track and mix a pop album on an delta 44. Nobody that matters will notice.

please tell me you know that was a cover. I mean i'm going to assume you do, because if you don't ...

And the finals mashup with that cover is way better. The first season was watchable. Just like all his shows, he has to drive home some message in the most obvious manner possible. Remember nip tuck and how that ended. What the fuck is wrong with people.

I would say, it depends on the person with samples. But absolutely organize them. To meet you half way I'll say, more samples is better than having fewer samples. However, having a shit load available, just incase you feel like you need them... good stuff.

i would say most 99% EDM could be made with 2 sample libraries. ALl those vengeance libraries are basically the original Ueberschall one, rehashed re edited. I can't prove it, but i am willing to be almost all those libraries originate with the Euberschall one released in like 2000.

and i would totally rape that jewish girl. Rachel ? Something about her wants me to like break her spirit or something. And i got mad love for the gays but honestly, the main gay dude deserves everything he gets. The black girl is too fat, don't care for it. The coach , i mean why is he singing all the time. Its weird its pervy. And you had to have Gwenyth Paltrow. If you've ever had to listen to her talk, some people are stupid, but they don't think otherwise. Fuck she is annoying. Like her in person. Fuck me.

I think it's really gay that you watch Glee, to be honest.

That's true, but why would that be an advisable thing to do? Just use Vengeance packs and you're good to go. Creatively, scope wise, that's not a very good decision. If you want to make music and not have to worry about samples, than sure. To each his own, I suppose.
