nooooooo it's not hash or hashish , it's narguila or shisha , i'm pretty sure u've seen arab dudes smoking it on TV or on movies , it's made out of tobacco and dry fruits (like apples strawberries peaches melons etc ... u get all kind of crazy flavours even capuccino and bubble gum).
here's some pics :

and speaking of hash (which i never tried) they say we have the best one in morocco

unbelievable... can't believe all the misconceptions and incorrect information people are posting in this thread... educate yourselves before you form your opinions and state so called "facts"... and by education, i don't mean just repeating what you heard from some guy or what your best buddy told you, i mean pick up a book AND READ... pick up a newspaper and READ... go on the internet and READ... and know and understand what you are reading, who wrote it, what their intentions are behind what they wrote, etc...

anyways, a few facts... if you doubt them, go look it up for yourselves...

marijuana is not physically addictive... any drug that is physically addictive can create a physical addiction, where your body craves and wants the drug... examples: ketamine, crack, heroin, nicotine, etc...

the addiction potential of marijuana is considered to be very low,
however, marijuana can be psychologically addictive for a small percentage of users (between 6%-10% in most studies)...

in the one place where marijuana is basically legal (amsterdam, holland) statistics show that the legalisation of weed had hardly any impact on the number of users there... and statistics also show that the percentage of young people using marijuana in holland is lower than that in the United states...

draw your own conclusions, but to me (as well as the canadian senate committee) it's pretty obvious that the use of marijuana is a social and/or health problem, not a criminal problem... decriminalization (and possibly legalization at some point in the future) is the only sensible route to go...

thats what i already said a few posts before...

weed is not addictive in its natural state... i also know bout the physical addiction problem...as u stated:

in the one place where marijuana is basically legal (amsterdam, holland) statistics show that the legalisation of weed had hardly any impact on the number of users there... and statistics also show that the percentage of young people using marijuana in holland is lower than that in the United states...

this only goes to show that weed usuage doesn't necessarily increase with legalization...another plus for legalizing it...instead when prohibited, as it is in the US and most parts of the world, the temptation proves to be stronger and more illicit, therefore increasing the mischeivous behavior of attaining and abusin the drug...

all in all, i know that the legalization of weed in every facet conveys a clear message of positive change...the sooner recognized, the sooner governments around the world could relieve the stress induced from prohibition of the damn drug...sheesh...

thx for clarifying things to the newbs jazz..

hmmm, about the addction thing, I'd have to say that I personally think it is, and I know most of my friends do too. Most people I know have cut down a lot, and especially me, like I said I don't smoke that much now, but ask me that about 1 1/2-2 years ago.... whole different story. I went 8 years not missing a day, and at the end when I was smoking everyday, it wasn't even because I wanted to smoke, but out of the habit of doing it, I needed to. What you guys feel like doing?........ lets smoke a joint. That was always the answer to that question. It definetly is addictive, but not more so then many things, tv, computers, chocolates, candies and defintely not ciggarettes, or any hard drug!

hey rizzler, i know exactly what u mean...but thats just mental and psychological addiction...its just behavioral...thats a big difference from physical addiction...

as of now im trying to quit smoking desperately...i think about cigarettes all day, almost every fifteen minutes i have the urge to smoke a cig but thats total physical addiction...when u want to stop, u can't...its that kind of addiction thats troublesome and dangerous...

marijuana, good quality, does not have any attributes that cause physical addiction...if u are psychologically addicted, then u still have the ability to control that and the urge can be dismissed rather easily....anyone who has tried quittin smoking cigarettes knows that its not easy at all...as a matter of fact its fukin annoying cuz i urge it soooooo bad at times...but i just bite my lip and say no...yet the urge just keeps tickling the back of my mind and its so exhausting fightin it all the time...thats addiction...im just glad that marijuana will not be as hard to kick when i want to...whew...

jus remember, au naturale...its not just by accident that god created a plant to make us feel this way....or is it?...thats another messy discussion...lets not bother..hehehe....

and riz, im not tryin to sound like a know it all but don't preach stuff too like weed IS addictive b/c then u begin to fuel the garbage myths out there...i understand what u mean by feeling addicted but it really isn't...atleast thats what the researchers and scientists claim, although the US gov't doesn't want its citizens to know that...jeez, i hate how anal this country is sometimes...

Well jparknyc let me tell you something, when it comes to weed I definitely have enough experience and knowledge to be able to give a sound opinion on it. I've been around weed for over 10 years now, and I can say that I know hundreds of people that smoke, some of the heaviest you can possibly meet, and others that are just social puffers. Never the less, everyone I know that was a heavy smoker, felt they had the same form of addiction to weed as cigarettes, I even know some people who had a lot easier time quitting cigarettes then weed when they were desperate to stop smoking it. Don't try telling me it's not addictive, I'm not lying when I'm saying how I personally felt, and I did actually feel a physical dependence on it, when I was smoking very heavily it used to be that if I didn't smoke by a certain time I would get the shakes, and I'm sure that's some what physical. I've known about weed well before I even actually smoked it, I learnt about it at a very young age, I was always a supporter for it to be legalized because it's impossible for someone to tell me that alcohol can be legal, and marijuana can't, I've never believed anyone could give justifiable reasons for that.
Fueling the garbage of myths out there.........hmmmm, you must be young right? ........ because that's how you sound to me. <----- that's not insulting anyone about age, but talking about experience.

ur funny cuz first of all when my birthday comes around next year and i turn 27, wow 27, then u could call me young again...as for sounding young...hmmm...i don't think so...whether u feel one way and all ur hundreds of friends that smoke, the truth is the truth...IT DOES NOT HAVE ADDICTIVE ATTRIBUTES...don't get mad with me for tellin you the truth...get mad at the scientists and researchers...im just tellin you how it is...you've been around weed for 10 years and what???...that makes u qualified to discredit scientists out there?....i dunno bout that...and how u personally feel bout this is irrelevant...im tellin u FACT...NO ADDICTIVE ATTRIBUTES...sorry but thats the TRUTH...

u get tha shakes??....then u must be smoking shietty laced up weed...as for why else u get the shakes?...hmmm...i really couldn't tell you cept that its either laced wit additives or ur just mentally addicted to it...u know habitual patterns do play tricks on the mind....

and as for ur 100 friends that smoke and blah blah blah...listen i really can't get into all that cuz this is a public forum but when i come to montreal to see corsten ( crossin mah fingers its wit picotto ), then perhaps we could just clarify things then...and don't get mad or offended but the truth is the truth...i ain't got no qualms wit u bout this...its NOT ADDICTIVE...end of story...as for why u and ur friends believe it is so, i can only repeat, and sound repetetive at this point, its a habitual and mental addiction to the high and expectancy of bein high as frequent as u may have been everyday...

if u get really really good shiet, u have to first of all smoke less frequent, get tha same really fuked up high that i like, and not feel crusty and shietty in the morning...
think about it...less smoking cuz good grade weed throughout the days, weeks, months, years results in less habitual and mental dependency...it makes sense plus u run no risk of having angel dust or anyother addictive additives laced in the weed, normally found in street bags and small quantity bags that local drug dealers hustle...

by the way, i dunno if u do so but i get mah shiet in weight at about $5800 per pound...thats street price...if u get 5 pounds, that gets a discount...thats what good shiet costs...u do the math...then tell me if u think im still young soundin and if i don't know shiet bout addiction and weed...but im with u bout legalization and i hope that u do understand what im tryin to say...

ultimately, if u don't believe me, then just do your research...i don't know what you learned "at a young age" but what u can learn now is widely available over the internet...

if u find something to validate ur point, then come back and talk to me...other than that, im goin to believe the scientists out there...i think they're more qualified than either you or me...and i understand its just ur opinion but ima ask u again not to spread stuff like that as fact..."fueling the garbage myths out there" makes me sound young huh...well, the truth is its not physically addictive...so who sounds naive?...let alone younger?...but whatever...im tellin u fact, NOT MAH PERSONAL OPINION...is that fair enough for you...is that mature enough?...
i can't believe this is the 3rd post that im writin regarding this...aye...
believe whatever u want...is that better?...im just tryin to tell u what i've learned through my research and experience with marijuana...k...hope this brings closure to this...

The only thing I neeed to validate my point is my experience and those of people I know. Researchers and scientists have never done studies and not gotten accurate facts before?
I don't know what you're smoking or who's ripping you off that you're street price for weed comes to the equivalent of 5800$ per pound, but that's just hilarious. I know what I smoke, most marijuana is not laced with anything, it's just grown under super high quality conditions, especially in Quebec. I know for a 100% fact that the weed I smoked regurally was not laced.
Anyhow, you're right, no need to keep aruging, just a waste of time.
