I could give a rats ass if his music is crap as long as I hear he's a humble person.

Agreed. I always thought Perception was a supremely overrated track, but on 3tyrants it's reworked into the real deal.

I don't really follow up on Marcus Schulz anymore but I used to listen to GDJB here and there when it was on and I checked him out at Club Mezzanine in 05. He was playing some good dreamy prog that night. Here's my favorite remix from the guy. Be cool if he made stuff like this once more.

Markus's marathon (6+ hour) sets are absolutely fantastic. The guy knows what he's doing as a DJ. He continues to support deeper tracks in his long sets (and signs them to Coldharbour), despite the fact that he says it normally ends up a losing battle with the crowd and he has to move back into anthems to regain their attention.
His recent artist album is cheese (some of it enjoyable cheese, imo), but his Dakota album was darker. He has to make "Beatport Top 10" type tracks in order to keep selling out shows so that he can support deeper tracks on his label.
At least Markus plays those deeper tunes in his long sets. Armin also loves the deeper, darker side of trance, but the only time we ever get to hear that from him is his "Warm-Up Sets".
