Fair enough. I just tend to blank out music if I'm reading unless it has vocals. I tend to listen to ambient/background music when reading or working simply because I think it's a waste of time to play music if you aren't paying attention to it, and I need something to block out external distractions.

So I took a listen...

To be honest, the first part didn't do much for me. Was disappointed by the hip-hop stuff, but that's probably my fault for expecting 'apache breaks' in there or something. But hey, things picked once the Chem' Bros. show up, which is-

DUDE! What's with the four-to-the-floors!? I thought this was a breaks mix. What a gyp, I'm turning this off.

(actually, I only paused it for a while, as I became distracted by the 1990 Royal Rumble )

Ah, that's more what I expected in the second half. Nice effort, overall.

Electronic Music Critic: Near-Daily Ruminations Of Music I Own, In Alphabetical Order!

Yeah, that section was a bit spontaneous - I remembered that the Chems had reused their Packet Of Peace bassline on Three Birdies Down so I played around mixing them together, and I'd always had an idea that U Make Me Feel So Good would work well with that track and wanted to try it out. It all flowed like a dream so I kept it in, and the latter track's vocal is at least an iconic breaks sample so there's some tenuous thematic connection.
