How did you get this absurd idea into your head that Burial only adds crackles for coolness cred? You can do crackles right or wrong and he's the prime example for doing it right. His stuff probably wouldn't work without the crackles. He doesn't just add crackles after for no reason. It fits with his music.

I specifically remember his "baroque" comment regarding his upcoming EP/album.
