Just because it passed doesn't mean we can afford the needed amount of money to the program. It also doesn't mean we NEED to shift our budget to fund this program. Money needs to be appropriated wisely when creating a budget. Budget time is sometimes ruthless. There are programs, offices, agencies, etc. that receive more or less funding or are sometimes even scrapped.
We're in the shit and if you ignore the taste of feces while it passes your upper lip, I'm afraid you are interested more in pointing fingers across the aisle than you are at solving problems.
I am in no way advocating the tactic of the Republican Party during this crisis. But, I will certainly not stand by a bunch of limp wristed liberals with robin hood syndrome who won't even come to the table to offer an alternative to the republicans' demands.
I hope this shutdown will force both sides to compromise. If Henry Clay were here, we wouldn't have that problem.
