Apparently Capriati's after hours set at Sankeys stole the show

ANYWAY -

the music last night was off the hook. joseph respected his opening duties and set it up perfectly for marco who FUCKING DEMOLISHED marquee. i don't think i'd survive a 7 hour set into sunrise in ibiza. MOMMA MIA! those build ups were behemoth..

on the other hand - hey sleepy & boo, i thought marquee had a door policy lol. as i mentioned before, i don't mind paying a premium for a place like marquee because i should be getting a different experience. it was 75% chongas and wepas, ghetto kids making dance circles in the middle of a CROWDED room.. a fight even broke out in one of the circles, people pushed around everywhere. there was a girl in the back with fuzzie boots with neon colors and a bra doing a whirlwind dance.. what a disaster lol.

luckily i knew they all came for joseph (they love their drumcode and clr) so one their b2b was over, they emptied out and it was perfect for marco. but still, i had nowhere to go for hours where i could dance/chill/sit away from the pacha basement crowd.

whatevs - marco is a superstar. he's always plays okay but when he's on point, game over..

cause its all they have to go by at door, when really, what you want is to control behavior.

from your description, doing it by price doesnt do it, even the brats seem tohave enough disposable funds.

I'm kind of surprised this is so JC related, cause the 2x I saw him this year were nothing like that bad. Worst I 've seen all year in terms of circles was at Pullen in summer, minus the fight even worse than what you desctibe (and not expected, cause not Pacha)

What we need, and NO ONE in the city is doing this, is a FLOOR policy, that doesnt permit circles on a crowded floor.
This goes for photo circles too, you know the kind where 6,7,8 people push for space for take after take of pics.

Its rude and selfish behavior when the amount of space taken up isn't there due to full house.
Not full, no problem

I dont see why no one has banned this inconsiderate conduct on crowded nights.
If enforced just a bit, it'll stop once people get thrown out.
But no one does....

Ditto cell phone, no one needs to txt from floor, with the annoying brightness alone, if you want to txt/surf/whatever, step off the floor.

Both can be enforced, just not done, idk why, still hoping.

Good you had fun despite!

i wish. not to sound cheesy but i think proper club etiquette exists and it'd be nice if someone people acknowledged and had it.

you can have all the fun you want, take all the drugs you want, drink all the booze you want, do whatever. just be respectful of everyone else's space and vibe.. is that too much to ask?

have never and probably will never be bothered by dance circles. its one of the things i love most about the NYC scene. i do agree that if the floor is rammed it would be nice to have a little more respect and hold off til it filters out, or maybe head to the back of the crowd, but i love seeing people who can actually dance get in there and rip it, rather than seeing hundreds of drones stand there and bob their head in the crowd. just my opinion.

CarS, you don't make any sense.

You're SO appalled that a venue would "discriminate" (and use that word over and over again) when it impacts you, but then have the gall to suggest that venues "ban" behaviors and "enforce" rules and even throw people out - actions that discriminate against others?

wow lol

boy, you sure cant drop it, it seems.
what a thin fuse, rather immature for a working adult.
doesnt make sense?
not hard to comprehend, diablo gets it (he's been pretty good overall here with his observations.)
not wasting my time with any clarification, must be beyond available means...
but at least you're a competent dj (so I'm told), so its ok.
(dont bother sending another insulting follow up pm, gonna trash it unread anyway)

I seriously thought you were joking CarS!

There's no way someone could be such a massive hypocrite so publicly.

Sorry I'm calling you out on your hypocrisy, its clear that I struck a nerve (otherwise I'm not sure why you're trying to insult me) but it's just so apparent and blatant and deserved a little spotlight.

That's all. Carry on.
