I would never buy a watch over $500, especially knowing that even a $25 Casio probably is more accurate. Also it wouldn't be a disaster if it got lost.

i think the point of a watch is more the aesthetic considering well phones and shit. It is jewelry. A way to look sharp without looking gay or black. So, i think spending less than 500$ a little silly unless you skydive or do things that need a watch. Otherwise , well , why the fuck are you wearing a watch would enter most people's mind. Unless you have the casio calculator one and it is not a reissue.

That plus it's annoying to take out your cell phone every time you need the time. Plus it's obvious as hell. You can subtly check the time on a watch without screaming "hey look I'm checking the time because you're boring me or I have more important things to do."

That's why I went for the Tissot. Watch people will know what it is, and it looks very classic. The first thing I think when I see a Rolex on someone's arm is it's either fake or they bought it used. I'd be much more impressed by an Omega or Breitling. After researching it I found Tissot and Omega are made by the same company too.
