the scene in Toronto is pretty damn good. Tiesto, Johan, Armin, Ferry, Talla 2XLC, Fergie, Marco V, Transa, Rank 1, Mauro Picotto... all have been here in the last few months

But, I live North of Toronto... in Collingwood.

No scene here at all. I'm the only person into trance in this town that I know of. Some high school jocks tried to throw a rave in 2000... but I was reading about it... just a little wannabe rave with a few MOBILE (School dance) DJs lol

dnb has taken over my area like the plague. Most of whats here is dnb in smaller clubs, but big name dnb guys make it over here pretty regularly. I really love me some good dnb. There is also a good amount of prog and even some HHC floatin around. There aint been very much big name trance, but big names arent all that there hyped up to be. The local trance dj's around here are amazing and are in back rooms all over da place. The music over here all seems to have a similar flavor, which is good, but sometimes I wanna get away. I guess it could be a lot better, but I am having a lot of fun as it is.

sydney is gettign stronger all the time...

for the first time ever in sydney rave history is a rave party going to be advertised on t.v.

the party has a $300,000 budget because well the mainliners are SCOOTER who aint fkn cheap.....

most festival; style rave parties in sydney are out at the olympic shogrounds in huge arse warehouses and have all types of electronic music except for hiphop!!! dnb trance hard trance house happy hard hardcore hard house funky house bah everything!!!

however in sydney rave party sorta means more happy hard hardcore english breakbeat and a little bit of hard hard hard trance/hard house!!! there are parties everyweek in sydney sometimes two!!! all sorts of not known internationals have come out like brisk and ham, hixxy, promo, kevin energy, scott brown, paul elstak, lenny dee, bloody fist (obviously), and tons more!!!

then at clubs suppoesdly home at sydney is ahveing trouble but other smaller clubs normally filled with people that like the music more are going hard with alkl sort of internationals coming out all the time... eddie halliwel, scot project hennes an cold, kai tracid, asys, ferry corsten, millions of others so much so i forget who i have seen and who i havnt!!!

and know for my time to brag... bah holland bah amsterdam bah england... come downunder for NYE mate anyday we kick cho arse!!! bitg arse parties everywhere on the beach on farms in the city.... our NYE are always voted the best with millions of dollars wasted on fireworks and plenty of internationals even at recovery parties the next day!!!

loving it!!! cant wait to get back!! =]

Talking Boston, MA!!!

The scene here is pretty good, I think. It's so much better than Denver, Colorado (where I came from), I'm here for college so it's pretty nice. The past month or so... we've had...

Ferry Corsten
Dave Seaman
DJ Tiesto
Sasha
Paul Van Dyk <-- Tomorrow!!! 10/31/02
Carl Cox <-- Saturday!!! 11/2/02

So... I guess it's pretty nice Avalon is a badass club...

Well, it closes at 2am and djs have to play shorter sets. So it's not that great.

actually now that i think about it, i dont think johan gielen has a residency anywhere outside DC on this side of the globe. please respond if u know if johan has a residency in maybe toronto, ny, la, anywhere in latin or south america, i feel very lucky. if u havent seen johan gielen live and u get a chance to, i HIGHLY recommend it. soooooo much energy, great vibe, and he puts on a great show, very crowd friendly
