Or wait, does it work specifically in such a way that you just have to take it once and BAM, cured, you'll never suffer anxiety or depression ever again?

If so hit me up. I'm interested in this sorcery.

Five more fucking minutes on the internet found this article: http://www.newscastmedia.com/4investors_africa.pdf see pages 11 and 12 for the god damned patents that have been filed for iboga treatments.

Here's one: http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-...=DN/20050288375

Filed by Myriad Genetics, a pharama company with a market cap of over $2 billion.

Big Pharam is DEFINITELY trying to keep down Iboga. No way they're going slowly to try to be safe AND make money off this.

Fucking conspiracy theories.

I know you're being facetious, but, for the idiots who aren't, if this shit was serious (and proven, and ready) then they would make it and sell it for somewhere between $100,000 and $1,000,000 a pop, and PEOPLE WOULD BUY IT. Insurance companies would figure out a way to make it profitable for everyone involved. The government would get involved in subsiding it, probably, since a cure to mental illness would be a fantastic productivity booster.

God damned conspiracy bullshit.

It was never my intention to provide evidence, hence it was an opinion. You haven't provided any either, by the way, to your opinion.

you even state below that there could be clinical trials coming, which clearly undermines your point.

Clinical trials in Holland, where it's already legal.

That's not hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars.

The amount of deaths vs. user experience is quite disproportionate. There are likely many more deaths resulting from various prescribed medications (including over-the-counter drugs) and hospital visits then there are from Iboga. Furthermore, all deaths from Iboga/Ibogaine seem to be attributed to other causes, rather than to Iboga/Ibogaine itself (with the possible exceptions of extreme overdose).

Well, until that point, I'll continue paying nearly nothing for a prescription that has helped me immensely, and was prescribed via some evil psychiatrist who I'm sure was just looking to make a quick buck.

can you do maths? the cure costs up to $100k per person

quote:

The launch of Sovaldi, the $1,000-a-day pill for hepatitis C, is shaping up as the most successful ever.

The Food and Drug Administration approved the pill in December. And then Gilead Sciences was off to the races. The company said it sold $2.27 billion worth of Sovaldi in the quarter that ended March 31. $2.27 billion!

so not only is it a cure, it is actually a sales record in pharma

Yes, and Iboga should also be legalized. But that would put big pharma companies, rehab centers, therapists and psychiatrists out of business, so it ain't gonna happen.
