the movie wanst as great as ppl made it out to be. i thought it was "ok". not exactly scary, and the storyline was okish, but the ending ruined it imo. was very confusing and i had to search on net to understand that the copy of the tape stops u from dieing!
after i watched it i didnt know wtf was goin on ... "was the ladys son the dead girl in disguise" and "why was the boy pushing his mums fingers to make a copy of the tape <-- i thought it was a flashback and she was remembering that it was her son controlling her" but i was wrong!!!
if ur still reading this id be very impressed.

this is made alot clearer in the japanese version. I liked both versions, the american one tried harder to make it scary, and was somewhat succesful at that
Dood like how old is this post... get with the times.. or pick and number and get in line!

Movie is good but not as good as the japanese original trilogy.
Does anyone have any thoughts on who Sadako's real father is? This question has been bugging me for some time.
Has anyone seen St Francisville Experiment? It is one f***ed up film!

I saw this in the cinema with a friend, and she practically ripped my arm off.
I found the movie to be quite funny, especially during a scene, where this dude in the row before us, says to his friend 'CLOSE YOUR EYES', and I just couldn't stop laughing from that moment on hehehe

Dude. I don't know. I couldn't stop laughing in that movie. Especially the horse on the boat that trips when it jumps. Thats classic LOL.
But it wasn't really scary. Movies scared me when i was like younger. now im a man (17), lol. Ok maybe not. But still. Horror/scary movie makers have lost their touch. They need to know how to make really scary movies.
ok ill shut up.

I saw this movie in a theater in Decatur (aka Ghetto Atlanta) and the crowd made it much more scarier than it actually was. People were getting up and walking out of the theater after that one scene (you know, the girl in the closet). After that scene I was like "ooohhh..It's gonna be THAT kinda movie..hmm). People were jumping out of their seats and screaming and shit. It's definitely a well done movie.

the ring wasn't all that scary. good cinematography and visual effects, but a lot of stuff didn't really relate and it lost appeal for me.
