In all honesty, his style isn't too unlike the Innervisions stuff. But he's a more well-rounded DJ and is more prone to play "outside the box" than even guys like Dixon. Deeper repertoire. In my opinion, statements like yours are usually made by people whom have biased preconceptions of a DJ and their music. Usually easier to write off than it is actually objectively listen to the music...
Of course if you flat out don't like the sound, fine, but c'mon don't dismiss it because it's not your cup of tea. |
First i must say I'm sorry for the rant! I was a bit over the top.
But thanks for the head up! I haven't been following either Digweed nor Sasha for the past 6-7 years or so. But it seems there's still a big audience for them especially in the states and that's good for them and i wish them all the luck! They have brought so many good things in the past for me personally.
It's just last time i listened to their sets and mixes were so boring at least the latter Transitions mixes from Digweed. I don't go to their 8hr long sets on yatchs like some other people here have been. If you guys some tip me on some real good recently made mixes by them i will happily listen to them and change my opinion. In the end i think it's more that I've just changed taste in music.
