I'm genuinely interested to know from users who still actively listen to this style of uplifting trance (Titanium, Trance-M etc) how a track like this would stack up vs. the contemporary stuff. It's been so long since I listened to an uplifting trance set that was made post 2008 or so that I feel totally out of the loop.

BTW I still listen to this song every now and then which is why I thought of it.

I absolutely love this track and I'd definitely like to hear more like it again.

The funny thing is, I just uploaded my own remix of this today to soundcloud. The timing is crazy! I just made this for fun, so it's short and it's missing the vocal riff.

I know I spoke to Mike Shiver and Mirco De Gova both were so extremely bitter about it I blame social media for it because they shoved that whole dj lifestyle down people's face and became so toxic.

I am just pissed off at so many people turning their backs on melodic trance after it has such a positive influence on them this includes JOOF as well. Above & Beyond too they turned their backs on the entire style because of depression.Ferry corsten too has turned his back on uplifting trance his tracks during his golden period were amazing so iconic. I don't care what Sasha said about him he had his track on one of his complilations.

Thanks man. My point was that I may be uninformed but I appreciate that.

You made a good observation with Mike Shiver and Mirco De Govia. Many artists feel like they're fighting against the tide. Perhaps there's an opportunity for newer and older artists to work together.

Listen to how the drums are so well arranged during the buildup you can tell a lot of effort put into it

You maybe uninformed but you can make a difference though

I don't blame them for going into that direction but at what cost though? They lose themselves in the process if they go with the tide sometimes.

Here is the thing though most producers fail to make stuff like they used to or Airwave is the exception here after they've quit producing.

When you shit like this being tagged as trance or happy hardcore (when it's a cheap version of it) what do you do?

Solid track. Very euphoric with a driving bassline. I really miss this 'warm' sound in uplifting trance.

Even Titanium has a point about making minimum wage when it comes to making trance, and loving what you're doing is only the tipping point. You need income to pay for those plugin tools and factor in the cost of living or just be a sellout like ****** to make money that way. I do give some respect to Thrillseekers for still sounding like he did back then and maintaining that image.

Well, not as powerful in melody as before, but aesthetically pleasing, like reel-to-reel tape or vinyl with a palette of emotion, plenty of low frequency with smooth high end, without sibilance. If you ask me its a good direction for his type of trance.

That's a fair point! I'm trying to put some plans together right now. I'm not sure if I'll find a home for my new music, or if I'll end up bringing Red Force back. Currently in the process of connecting with old contacts to see if there's enough of a network and roster to release music through RFR.

On a similar note, if you or anyone here could recommend any newer up and coming DJs who play uplifting trance, that would be helpful. Feel free to share here or over a DM!

And back to your point, I think we can all make a difference in elevating the trance styles we want to hear. It just might take more effort to compete with algorithms and big marketing campaigns. Listeners will need to dig more for the music they like, and share/recommend the artists and labels to reach new ears. And like you said, the artists need to stay true to themselves with their music and show up for their audience, even when it's hard.
