well "they are 16 and licenced to drive!" now that is an actual quote from one of their newer movies!

aslo another quote from their upcoming movie "when in rome" ... do as romans? ROFL!

you say how do I know all this? well I work in a video store part time so I would know!

if you did not know that it was movies with them, would you not think that the titles and quotes from those movies sound a bit like names of porn movies? ROFL

the women I know hate trance.

thus when I invite them, I KNOW they're going to give me an excuse or a reason not to show up.

and when I hear "is there going to be hiphop there?" i just rather not invite them at all.

I don't go to these events to meet that special someone.

I go there to get wasted, dance and have a great time listening to the music I love. Not to mention be with my friends who share the same music taste.

Most girls are into the radio station. The ones that are into trance or the underground are rare to come by.. SO IF YOU have found that special someone, "HOLD ON"

Do it for the love of the music, don't expect anything and everything else will follow.

the place where i've seen the most women openly admit that they like trance was always at raves... it's a shame the scene in TO has changed so much these days ..

i'm sure a lot of women like trance .. they just don't seem to openly admit as much these days ..

Are they scared to admit??
Is there something evil about trance?
Maybe, maybe not... I actually dont know.

But!

There is one point that I wanted to make.
I just want everyone to know that the following statement that I am about to make reflects nothing of me. I am not sexist/hatist nor does this express my true opinion.

One thing that I have noticed is the level of intelligence (better yet, the level of philosophical awarness) that surrounds trance, compared to other type of music. When I think about it, some of the brightest people I've seen are on these TA forums, coincidentaly most of the TA population is Male. Also, coincidentaly, the geniouses that we worship (Einstien, Newton, Froid) are all male... The conclusion that seems to be arrived at is the the percentage of males to females listening to music (trance in this case) plainly for intellectual stimulus, is favored towards the males.

I also want to mention that, by statistics, there are more females in the world population as males, so this occurance is rare by probability.

That was my philosophical contribution. I hope some of you think about it and give feedback. Also, where am I wrong? if i'm wrong.

Dr. Z (Drazen)

Dr. Z...u are absolutely right aobut the people on this board having a far greater IQ level. Howver, women in general aint dumb. They just dont want to get out there and do something by using excuses such as "Oh because im a woman, it means that i wont go far...the world is against me" and they have used that all thru time....the few women that stood out however did make an immense contribution such as Madame Curie...

i wouldnt say ur sexist cos its been made to look that way.

and yes..Trance is a music that has to be understood unlike all other genres of music which have lyrics and simplicity in the layout wo that the message is clear....

I couldn't make it that night either, I was just dead beat from all the crap I went thru that day...

And I guess I should check out NASA sometime soon! Plenty of women and progressive beats? Can't go wrong with that!

maybe so, I would love to agree with you 100% but since I have a classical education in piano. I hate to admit it, but I have to disagree. The most intelligent music in this world is classical, not all of it, but for the most part. And that opinion goes true for the "intelligence (better yet, the level of philosophical awarness)."

But you are right in some way that most people that do get into this music are fairly smart most of the times.

Don't get me wrong I love electornic music, and that is one of the reasons I spin it. But ones in a blue moon when I am really chilled, I might listen to some classical music as well.

Oh and I definetly agree with what LKD said!

Hmmm...

Think of classical music. When classical music was popular, lets say before the 1900s, it was one of the most intelectually investigated phenomenon. Geniouses, like Bach and Motzart(men, by the way), created master pieces that only a few people, maybe only them, could create. The music was extremely complex.

The way I see it, trance (or techno), is the result of 20th century's tecnological revolution.

The way people precieve classical music right now could be how people precieve trance 200 years from now. This could be(in my opinion, IS) the next revolution in musical philosophy.

What you believe might be the most 'philosophically aware' music could actually be the result of the time it was in effect, like classical.
I have no problem with your opinion I just want you to think about this.

Another thing relating to classical. Think of the differences between classical and trance. Both music has chords and sets of organized tones in bars which follow a certain pattern. The only difference is that trance has a near perfect beat counter, which is actually being processed by some autonomous cyclic processor in your stereo. (or whatever the hardware)

It appears as, trance is the next evolution of classical music with the same, (if not more amplified) intellectual stimulus...

I'll end there for today,
LDK and Trancearmada, I have no problem with your opinions.

for any of you guys out there wondering where you can find some friendly women where they place trance .. you can at these things called 'raves'.. yes, the women there actually talk !

AND as a bonus, there aren't that many ginos there and not everyone (the majority) is under 19 ..
