It's like the gold rush for the Americans, if this job provides better prospects, why should I choose otherwise. There you go, within the last few years, which rich people do we see on Forbes? CEOs or doctors or lawyers....I am not saying they do not make that much....sure they'll be able to secure a nuclear family. Fame and fortune goes well hand in and hand, it's how you attain them that is the difficult part.

Can you say post-rejection angst? Hey, I know from first-hand experience that a lot of people in the Ivy League are not the smartest people in the world, but don't attack my school just because it's rated #1 or #2, it earned that spot by being on top of America’s intellectual and academic elite for the last 300 years. Yes, it’s even older than the Union. MOST people have sweated blood and tears to get into such schools; it’s not that easy to get almost perfect SATs and GPAs.
Over-rated you say? I’m not that proud about having the most people from the Forbes 500 or even the last three U.S. presidents, but I’m damn proud about all of the achievements in the arts and sciences that were made by Yale academics. This is not about money my dear. Aristocratical dictators? First of all, there’s no such word as “aristocratical”, it’s supposed to be aristocratic. Sure, there’s an obvious old money legacy. I mean, these schools are older than shit. But times have changed; do you have any idea how liberal these schools are in the present day?
The Ivy League universities were the first schools in the U.S. to admit minorities and nowadays the school admits 40% minorities and male and females on an equal 50-50 basis. Trust me, most elite schools in the world can’t say that yet about their diversity.
I don’t understand where your anger comes from, but it just bothers me that you attack my school as if we were all fuck ups because we were lucky enough to get accepted. It’s not my fault that other people were less fortunate. Oh, and I’m going abroad to Amsterdam next semester. I’ll let you know if I get anything less than an A in my grad school classes. If I get less than an A, Yale won’t give me credit for them. It’s not as easy as you think, Einstein. Peace.
