Released only in Japan why? It costs more money to import the album from Japan thereby jacking up the price to about 40+ dollars, which is complete crap. Or, he could just like Japan. i'd go with the first one

Releasing stuff first in Japan is the latest fad. Corsten did it, Tiesto did it, Rank 1 did it, and now Corsten will do it again!

I'm certain it's the latter reason. The increased cost of importing the album from Japan doesn't reach Ferry; he still receives only the original purchase price in Japan. The extra cost goes to middlemen; importing is a secondary market.
That, and apparently his wife is Japanese.
So I think he just likes Japan. They're probably more responsive to that sort of uplifting stuff anyhow.
