My 2 cents...Both are very different. You listen to PVD in a club and Tiesto on top of a mountain as you meditate, thats the way I see it. Also Tiesto is a much better producer and as soon as he makes or remixes a track he has it on record for everyone. PVD likes to keep his remixes exclusive to him and won't release them until they are out of style. Sharing is caring...
Tiesto!

um
Well Paul Van Dyk in my opinion is better at the moment. I wasn't too happy with Tiesto's last album IN Search Of Sunrise 3. Global has shit all over that album.
^^^^^^that is true.

The PVD liveset on TA blows big time. If that's pretty much representative of what PVD is playing like, then I wouldn't even include him in my top 20.
It doesn't take much musical genius to bang out anthem after anthem...
Tiesto keeps it interesting by changing up styles, throwing down some breaks tunes and some techno every so often. He also has a pretty nice flow of tunes, not just a bunch of abrupt changes between shiny sparkly uplifting trance to hard tech trance. That sounds worse to me than a trainwreck...

I go for Pvd, because his style appeals more to me. And I don't find Tiesto's latest productions that good.

PvD doesn`t bang anthems. for that, look out for ferry corsten. Ferry is the Top40 Anthem DJ
Regarding to the "abrupt changes" how do you call it when Tiesto playes James Holden`s 'Nothing' to Umek`s 'Gatex' or tracks related ??? cause he has done it few times here in the states.
