That's exactly the way I put it. The MDR-V600's are (honestly) one of the worst headphones that I've listened to recently, especially for their high-ish price.

Yepp...Agreed...

I own a pair of V700's...I'm totally satisfied with the phones, and I wouldn't want any other ones...

The sound may not be very clear, compared to some other cans, but what the f*ck...are you going to listen Mozart between mixing the tracks? In loud enviorments I don't think ppl would notic the difference, and they wouldn't care that much either, between any of these mentioned pro-cans...

And they IMO look a lot better than all the other cans...I personally don't like the looks of the new Pioneer phones at all...It's to much science fiction over them...If you know what I mean...of course, the looks aren't the most important aspect on headphones...

Yeah, but sound-wise $40 USD is still too high for the MDR-V600. And I know which sounds good, and which sounds like shyte...

Maybe you don't like SONY because of the "overpriced" products it has.

Anyway, some guy in here switched to the Pioneer 1000... dear friend, did you even notice what is the shape of the 1000's? A SIMPLE COPY OF THE MDRV700'S. SO, WAKE UP AND READ THIS:

EVERYTHING AFTER THE MDRV700'S IS JUST A COPY OF THEM THAT GOT DEVELOPED (MAYBE).-

Bah, I think the looks, not just the sound, of the MDR-V700DJ's are overrated. The MDR-V700DJ's look too ordinary to me to even be clad in silver. And as for the "poor" sound quality, trust me, I've heard much better-sounding headphones than the MDRV700's for half the price, even if the MDRV700's sound quality isn't "poor" on an absolute scale.
