i believe this is probably the stupidest thread ive read so far this year. i thought you guys would be a little more open minded about i.. perhaps like infinity and stuff, but i guess not. first of all, slipknot, limp bizket, mud vayne, korn, etc etc etc, papa roach..
NONE of this in ANY way qualifie's as metal, to hear that makes me want to crie, all those bands i just named are POP bands, its called Rap-Core. which somebody tried to mention earlier, its either Rap-Core or just plain Pop shit. Marylin Manson is completely pop, and i refuse to hear he's anything remotely similar to metal. i mean for christs sake his bassists bass only has one string. thats got to be the lamest bassist n the world.
power metal: iron maiden (founders), blind guardian, Metallica.
Epic metal: luca turilli, Raphsody, etc etc.
Progressive metal: in my view would be Dream theatre, Jacobs dream, so on and so on.
black metal: dimmu borgir, nokturnal mortum, noctes, etc.
Death metal: at the gates, in flames, dark tranquility, etc etc.
then theres GOOD ol' ROCK N' ROLL. like 70's and a bit of 80's.. but mostly 70's.. such as pink floyd, RUSH (by the way which im listening to right now), led zeppelin, Deep Purple, and so on.
no where in HELL does LIMP BIZKET, KORN, PAPA ROACH, LINKIN PARK, **MARYLIN MANSON**, or any other band like that fit in there. im not saying those bands suck (*except for marylin manson, no class, no style, no skill in there whatsoever, its shit), to me all those bands have a certain quality that there good even though i dont listen to them that much,
so before you start to blabber all this nonsense in capital letters like 1st graders, think about it a bit.. and try to understand that even though this forum is about trance, people in this forum also listen to other music genres.
and another, i sk8, and i listen to every damn type of music, so sk8'ing has nothign to do with it.
