As for all the inbetweeners

House party DJ's get roughly 50-10 bucks if that.
Back up DJ's @ clubs in Chicago ( I know a few club DJ's there ) get between 100-200 bucks a nite
and the resident DJ's generally walk home 300-500 bucks a nite.

Still nice... but it is so fucking hard to break through and get a residency @ a club that pays well. Look at me. I started @ 25 bucks a nite doing the lites and opening in a top 40 joint.....Now i am at a reformed 19th century church that pays me 300 a nite and i can play what my electronic heart desires. no top 40 from my fingers.

Congrats on your upward move friend! I watch with sadness as my brother is forced to spin cheese at neighborhood clubs/lounges for scraps (if he sneaks in a quality tune the managers are usually up his ass...)

I'm pretty sure that Paul van Dyk gets on average about 5K Pounds per event. That's the figure I used to hear the last 2 years - it's probably gone up since then.

Carl Cox has been paid 100K Pounds for NYE gigs before.

I did luck out. The managers give me free reign... but as for making it big. I dont see that happening. All of the big boi's (excluding bad boy bill) produce music too... i havent gotten there yet and who knows how long this club will stay open and how long i can manage to spin for 5 hours at a time. yes my gigs are from 10p to 3a.... and that is a long fucking time to mix weekly... so ya..

rumours are that Carl Cox got 200.000 guilders (aproxx $ USD 100.000) for his gig on DanceValley 2001.

also Tiesto was offered 1.000.000 guilders (aproxx $ USD 450.000) to play on the millennium-night in England. He turned it down, cause he insisted he wanted to play in Holland that night (Energy 2000, his best set ever)
