Re: Re: WTF is Tiesto playing at !?!?
ooo dear it appears war has broken out
Didn't mean to sound that negative about Tiesto. My whole enjoyment of the night was dampened by the GC environment. The production quality of the night was poor at best, the sound system in Heaven ain't that great, and it was just toooo crowded to be honest.
I should also qualify, Friday night was the first time I've ever seen Tiesto play live. I only knew his earlier style by buying his old vinyl tracks at the time, though I never saw him playout then.
Yes DJs can vary their style, but in so doing you can never please all of the people all of the time (refer to heated arguments above for proof )
imho it's a classic case of top DJ going "off on one", exactly as Jules did once he'd made enough money/got a big enough rep. Then they know they can play what they want to, rather than responding to general consensus. I'm not saying this is a good/bad thing, just the way it seems to go.
Tech trance is fine if you're totally off your face, but to be honest, I've had 100times better nights at hard trance/hard house clubs DJ'd by London locals.
The vibe just wasn't there for me that night, too much of an eclectic mix of people.
Just my 2p.
