Well.....
It´s not even released and will not be released!!! He played it just @ radio fritz and in some of his sets...

is just for pvd personal use and if he hadn´t remaked it he wouldn´t be able to play this monster tune in his sets because the original from sasha just doesn´t fit his style... so i´m very happy that he "remixed" it for his own sets..
I guess without the PVD rework many trance heads wouldn´t even know this tune!!

and btw what´s the big deal... he added his bassline and made some small changes just to play this tune in his own sets and that´s it... no release or something!! so every1 who claimed that pvd stole this song from sasha is saying horse shit!!

Havent heard this re-work, but if its anything like the shyte he did to Ralphie B - Massive, then I'll steer clear.

The original and Mirco De Govia mixes of Massive are thousands of time better than his little re-work, which just made the bassline SO boring

IMO, he took all the energy out of that particular track

He totally destroyed it, taking a track and reworking it. Frankly I don't care if he did it for his own benefit. That track does not need a remix and even if Sasha is having a remix competition on his site, that track was fine as it was. Paul Van Dyk reworked it, what's next? remixing xpander. If that happens, I'm burning my pvd cd's...oh this also applies to the other twat (hint LUKET!) who remixed it....certain tracks don't need remixes....wavy gravy and xpander are two.

Compared to the original it may be not that great, but relative to most other trance tunes produced, its quite excellent.

Time and time again, people complain about remixes, saying that they stray too far original, and take out all the good aspects of the tune. Now that PvD is sticking to the original as much as possible, just changing a few minor things to fit his style, he's criticized for being boring and unoriginal.

Moral of the story: You can't please everyone.

point well made...

let's just hope tough that he keeps his hands of Xpander...

I think what really disappointed me about the rework, is that Sasha poured his heart and soul into the whole Airdrawndagger album and the production was top notch. Sounds like he spent a lifetime on each of the tracks as they're so full with musical delights, then PvD comes along and spends half an hour and does a half-arsed job switching a few things around. If you're gonna fuck with a track which has had alot of time put into it, then you should take the time and remix it properly - ala Luke Chable's beauty

completely agree. dancing to 4/4 is boring, and simple. breaks let you get dooowwwn...

if you wanna hear a danceable, badass, WAY more energetic remix of this tune(and one that doesnt lick balls and fuck up the original) try the sander kleinenberg - partynight (tribal gathering set) 11-23-2002. it rocks my world, shit even the Amber song on there kills without cheese. fuck|

people who worship pvd dont know what theyre missing out on. satoshi tomiie kills...mmm tribal gathering

why don't u then?it's not just the beat that he adds... pvd has created a unique style and u can identify every single track & remix he has made...he's not just playing music made by other ppl...as far as wavy gravy's concerned i l0ve the original but the rework is so full of energy and it's incredible...

Come on, unique style? For me a unique style is when someone really
finds a sound that NO ONE else can master and continues to develop
that sound in coming productions and remixes, not using the same old
formula for all remixes just to make it "fit his sets".

I have begun wondering if he is altering tracks to "fit his sets" in
order to make it all sound the same so people wont have to worry, just
dance or if he is doing just becuase he doesn't wanna be arsed too
much with beatmatching and so on.

I just think he ruined it.
