Personally I can't really dance to songs that race at 145 bpm, all you can really do is jump up and down on the spot and wave your hands in the air (not that there is anything wrong in that).
House and Progressive might not be everyone's cup of tea but to say that it is boring and puts you to sleep is inaccurate. Last time I went to see Ferry, his predictable trance set gave me a headache but that doesn't mean i'm going to start bitching about trance music (or trance Dj's). Everyone has thier own taste, and from what i have seen people's taste evolves just like the music does. A few years ago i was totally into trance (yes, even the cheese smelt good to me ) but now i prefere the progressive stuff, one of the reasons being it's simply easier to dance to something at 130 bpm.
As long as producers create songs with a heart and soul, and dj's effectively build up their sets to create a journey of emotions, no matter what type of music you listen to, the experience will be enjoyable. This is true for all forms of music.

Guys,
you guys are arguing like little girls over which clothes to buy at the Gap. Just because its old it doesn't mean its cheese. People still like old stuff, they don't have to "keep up" with the trend. Also, as said many many times, when you call something cheesy; that is your own opinion. I don't understand why people must make others believe that the same track/DJ is cheesy. When people tell me certain clothes are ugly I don't listen to them, and I decide that for myself.

This is just the kind of attitude everyone on this board should adapt.

So True. If the Beatles came back to do a gig would people say "oh no there too old, they haven't released anything in ages"....hahahhaa no
anyways, I've been listening to a handful of Gabriel & Dresden tunes and remixes lately and think they should really come here!!! Dave Dresden posts on TA occasionally, I don't think it would be too hard to arrange something with them

As far as I know he's not banned anymore.
And I'd actually disagree and say he's better now than a few years ago, "then" he put on more of a stage show and was crazy, but since then he's gotten better with music/mixing/etc..

Can't remember if anybody else mentioned this, but since I missed them before, I think it'd kick if Infected Mushroom came to Viva. Their trippy music, along with the lasers and plasma setups...
I'd definitely rather see them at Viva than at the Guv or System or any other club... it'd be perfect!
Oh and incidentally, sake, what's with all the dots in your posts!?
