naive = doing nothing and waiting to be attacked again by terrorists. Peace in Iraq will follow the removal of Saddam Hussein.

I'd say the general stance is that Saddam Hussein is. Unless you agree with the selfish governments of France, Germany and Belgium.

Bush is freakin nazi. I doubt he'll remain in power after this term. I have a feeling this is gonna backfire on him.

How are they selfish?
you mean they are unwilling to destroy an already impoverished country who is disarming? I mean don't get me wrong, we all hate Saddam, but there are other ways to go about it. CNN and naked news shouldn't be your only news source!

30 countries woooooow and it happens to be half of them are MICKEY MOUSE COUNTRIES : Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia,Iceland,Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Nicaragua, United Kingdom, and Uzbekistan

by bombing irak , bush is only giving another reasons to terrorists to make more attacks. i swear i will not be surprised if something worse than 9/11 happens again

my thoughts exactly. And the countries that aren't mickey mouse countries are only doing it cuz they're pussies who can't stand on their own two feet. I mean when will Japan ever worry about terrorist attacks from Iraq?!? They just wanna side with the states because they're yes men, who've got their own interestes with trade at stake.

Praise France for having the balls to speak out against the American oppression!

I take my hat off to Chirac for so flagrantly denouncing this crime, and even though the majority of this planet sees eye to eye with him there are not many people who got the balls to speak out against Bush’s nazi regime. There you have a president who's got a 90% support of his people!

Since I advised you to present facts and not fabricated balderdash I’ll tell you what are the results of the elaborated polls’ conducted in most of the EU countries along with the US on the question “who is a bigger threat to world’s peace: Hussein or Bush?”
EVERY SINGLE EUROPEN country including the UK had Bush top the polls by at least 10% ahead of Saddam. In the US Saddam Hussein was only about 15% behind your own president!!!

I’ll rest the case, but be sure and certain that the innocent American public will pay a might heavy price for Bush & Co’s barbarian paradigms but unlike 11.09.2001 you undoubtedly won’t have the world’s sympathy.

may i compliment the montreal TAs for their super arguments

what i really don't get is why the american people seem incapable of empathy. unfortunately america does not see the human element to war, they don't realize that bombs cause death and destruction because they seem to need to be faced with the effects themselves. the world would be better off without the bombs falling this evening. everyone would be.
unfortunately it seems that the only way america will realize the gravity of war is to suffer casualties so all we can hope is that soon the body bags come back and people will re-think their position on war, see the dimensions of war that exist behind the tough talk of their president.
i support chirac's stance, democracy is supposed to be about representation not manipulation. bush is both manipulating his own citizens as well as governments abroad and this is wrong. his heavy handed, with us or against us, there will be consequences rhetoric (there's great articles on the NYtimes regarding his threats to mexico) are an attempt to force governments to go against the demands of their citizens and align with the US. Most of the thirty countries that were anounced to be supporting the US stance on Iraq are countries that see their well being deeply tied into continued US support and aid (what little of it there is). the power element present in the relations between the US and those nations is undeniable. for countries that are somewhat less dependent on the US they are merely seeking to improve their trading relations and essentially kiss a$$.
all i can say now, 2 hours before his next address is i wish the americans would stop seeing themselves as victims, victims that deserve revenge. this is not the case, they can not revenge their losses due to a subnational terrorist group by attacking another state. and this stance will just encourage future attacks, whether its on their embassies or at home, the short sightedness of the bush adminstration is apalling.

empathy people!

americans are incapable of empathy because they never had a war in their territories , as simple as that ! maybe a second 9/11 will make them open their eyes
