Sunderland vs Newcastle, Stadium of Plight, on the 26th. The atmosphere is going to be absolutely mental for this one.

Can't help but be amused by talk of the Italian so-called 'hooligans'. There's no doubt that there's more violence inside Italian Serie A grounds than any other top league in Europe. Not sure whether this is indicative of utterly shit Italian police who just cannot get a grip or the corruption of Italian Football where the mafia....well I'm not even gonna start, but we all know what I'm on about.

My point is this.......there's no doubt the wops - bless their little hearts, are passionate about the beautiful game. They love their football and they like a little ruck - IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY!!! They've pissed on (literally) every opponent to come to their country in European action, but will they come for the return leg?? Will they fuck!! And this is not the biased opinion of some English xenophobe - it's an opion that's shared by the Dutch, Germans, Scots, and anyone else worth their steel. Italian clubs bring fuck all away from home, and even less with their national team. In the league table of troublemakers and firms they are rooted firmly at the botom, well below the likes of Poland and Greece. So they can continue to kick it off in their silly little Juventus vs. Torino, Inter vs. AC Milan derbies. We're all watching......and we're all still waiting......because we know you'd get turned over by Torquay.

With my father being italian and that making me half i would rather you did not refer to us as wops. And get of this mafia pish. you watch too many films mate. I think you'll find italian fans don't travel away from home is the fact that a lot of them couldn't give a fuck about the european games. ask any italian football supporter what they'd rather win and the majority will say the schuddeto.

I find it hard to believe Inter AC and Juve fans couldn't give a fuck about their side's progress in the biggest club tournament in the world. Their supporters should support their team wherever they're playing. It's not as if the Italian fans can't afford a cheap Ryanair flight to London.

Well apologies.....certainly wouldn't want to offend a fan of a rival country. Perish the thought! Shocking as if might be, England football fans refer to Italians as Wops or Eyeties and that's the end of it......But I will remember to address any future posts to you as 'my gentle Italian brethren' - that better?!
You might be right about Italian supporters holding the Serie A title in greater esteem than the Champions League - I wouldn't know - the only Italians I speak to on a regular basis is my barber, and the waitress at Eastside Mario's with the hairy arms, but even if that's true, it doesn't excuse the fact that the national team - the 'Azzuri' if you will, never bring any away fans.
This thread is about the violent following and the Italian firms wouldn't dream of turning up mob-handed in England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Holland, etc. etc. because they'd get turned over. That was my point.
Oh and one last thing, I do strongly apolgize at the ridiculous notion, the proposterous suggestion I made, that Italian football owners are corrupt and have nothing at all to do with any organised crime. What the fuck was I thinking??!!!

go and take yer face for a shite ya greasy english muffin.

Why should we travel 2000 miles to another country to take a bleaching of your scummy fans. i couldn't care less if you think italians are all pussy's because of this fact.

Look at it this way. england fans travel to belgium in 2000 for the euro championships. They fight, get a beating, get jailed, and shame their country, all while their team gets put out in the early stages.

Wheras Italy fans stay at home, enjoy the sun, watch their team reach the final only to be beaten at the last hurdle, and have all the comforts of good food, good wine and most importantly good women.

Now who are the idiots.......

At the end of the day the talking is done on the pitch and so far it's

Italy 3 - england 1.

Thats world cups i'm talking about by the way

No thread in paticular. just thought you needed shutting up.

Your going on about these hooligans as if it's a good thing. You seem to be boasting about the fact that england has the best firms.

Maybe not, i could be reading your posts all wrong.

We seem to be wandering off-topic a bit but...

England have had our fair share of oh-so-nears. In fact we were fucking unlucky in the late 80s, where we should have bagged two world cups under Bobby Robson.

What stopped us? In 1986 it was Maradona's "hand of god", probably the most famous act of cheating in the history of world football, and in 1990 we were denied on penalties by Germany (who later clinched us on penalties in Euro 96 too, the bastards).

England could well have bagged 3 world cups by now, let's face it. Our side isn't as good as it was in my opinion, but all national sides have their ups and downs.

Chesco, whatever your feelings on hooliganism, don't you feel it's a bit cowardly to wait for supporters to come to your country, where you have the upper hand and the police won't intervene, and piss all over their heads and rain all sorts of shit on them, then refuse to show up for the return leg? It's no surprise that Europeans view Italians in this negative light. I'm not just talking about hooligans - where are the regular Italian fans?

Fair comment. but going back to my original point, i still don't see the sense in fighting over a fuckin game of football.

I think tho this is a relitavely recent occurence. Italian fans did used to travel with their teams a lot more than nowadays. Perhaps this is a sorry reflection on the way italian football is heading......

I got about 12 hours worth of hooligan's footage, if you are ever in Toronto I’ll be more than happy to lend you some tapes.

Hordash!!!! I want it for sure !!!!!

BTW, there was a very good book "Hoolifan", it was written by ex-Headhunters member.

Brimsons wrote couple of good books, "Here we go" is one of them...
