yup. Well I was able to find tix for myself and a friend, assuming that I would get a tix for my girlfriend, we arrived and it was sold out so I resold them. I felt horrible for all those that came from far away places to Ultra, which were many, way too many people were left out. I did not see that coming at all, at least not at 3pm.

btw Downtown it's shut down because of Ultra. Could not go to Space/Karu and Y.. called it a night. Was stuck in traffic since 11:15 till about 11:45 and Ultra wasn't even done, had to do a U.

Well it is an outside park but they can only let in so many people to the park. Still, your talking about tens of thousands of people...

I work in downtown and I have never seen the disaster that is going on right now before.

Well that explains why no cabs coming from usual direction to drop people off at SPACE..(where I usually go to try for cab after Ultra I was so lucky to find 4 others nice enuf to let me ride back with them to the beach.

It's just going to get worse...the traffic situation...the metro should develop some sort of shuttle system/special bus lines for this event...

i took the bus around 4 from the beach, took until 5:45 to get to omni station...traffic was insane. only stayed at ultra for Faithless and then left b/c I was entirely too exhausted and the death cold I seem to always get when I arrive in Miami took full hold of my sinuses and lungs. In retrospect, had I realize how much people were selling tickets for, I would have sold mine and stood outside the gate to hear faithless haha.
I've never heard of Ultra selling out...the lineups this year were the worst i've seen in the 4 years I've gone too. It was worth the money for me to see Faithless for an hour just b/c I'm that insane about them and they hardly ever come to the states.
I'm very glad I left when I did seeing how bad traffic was coming back to the beach...i can imagine a few hours later how much worse it was.
Even my cab driver commented this was the worst year for him as far as being overworked. Seemed to notice a lot less cabs than in years past just about everywhere on the beach and downtown. And a lot of the drivers were refusing people.

there comes a time when the operation of the machine is so odious that you cannot even tacitly participate. you've got to place your bodies on the gears, the wheels, all the mechanism. you've got to indicate to those who own it and those who run it, that unless you are free, the machine will be prevented from working at all.

^Sounds like Ultra is outgrowing Miami, or at least the mass transportation system there.
