Anybody have an opinion as to which language I should pick up next semestar? I can't decide if I want to take Russian, German or French. My friends say German over French because the French are pussys anyways but, I think Russian would be awesome. Although I've heard Russian is really difficult. So which one would any of you take if you had the opportunity or have any of you taken one of those languages and what did you think?

russian isn't real tough, just quite useless...took 3 yrs of it in HS, picked it up fairly quick. But when the hell are you ever going to go to Russia? Plus it sounds stupid as balls.

out of those i'd take french.

i took swedish. it rocks, but then again if you visit sweden you wont learn much.

but then again, possibly more at uni in the US|

I took French for four years of hs and a semester at college and two years of Norwegian in college. Out of the languages that you mentioned, I would recommend French. More francophones in the world than russian speakers and german speakers.

I would recommend Spanish though. Way more useful, especially here.
