OMG... so excited to see these 2 fresh sets... w00t w0000000t

Dejan Milicevic vs Kobaya - live at club bali-serbia-zenta 2006/05/13

DEJAN MILIÈEVIÆ : Started DJ-ing in the begginig of 1995 in a small Belgrade club called "Omen" performing his sets together with at that time well known DJ Boža Podunavac who is considered to be his guru. In January 1996. he participates in a project for the first time with his nowadays partner Marko Nastiæ, and thats about time when Teenage techno punks was founded. At that time TTP is well known after their back2back sets packed with hard techno tunes with funky bass lines. In 1998. TTP was claimed to be the best techno duo in the country by radio station B-92( Rhythm of the heart). Thats when TTP mania starts. Very soon after he starts his gigs all around ex-Yugoslavian countries where he finds a big interest of the crowd and veryfication that techno is universal language even between countries devided by war. Dejan performed around various happenings in countries such as Germany, France, Hungary, Checz republic......playing sets at the famous Mayday, Pepsi-Sziget, Complex, Hyperspace.
By the end of nineties a big mark of his success was an amazing 250 gigs for only one year time, which resulted with less gigs in Belgrade and more gigs in the country and abroad. "Titan international" from Vienna is the agency that does his bookings abroad. His music style is a combination of techno house and electro carefully wrapped on 3 turntables. The very crown of this years gigs in Belgrade is "TTP Summer Sessions" party episodes where they presented big names in worlds techno music.

KOBAYA :was born in 1979. A former violin student. He is now deeply in the field of electronic production thanks to his father who was one of the first Yugoslav sound engineers. Raised in Belgrade during the most difficult 90s, he played bass in several influential bands before he settled in Marko Nastic's recording studio.
His music influences varies from grunge and dark industrial to funk, jazz and electronica.

Also... one of my favs.

minimal beats on Livesets today... Stewart Walker tribute!

also, an older Varela that fucken rocks... I remember hearing Preach's track in it (Berlin - track from Montreal Metro EP on Session) shortly after the set came out, and it was a nice surprise... Preach's tracks had been getting some play at that point but it was still special to hear someone drop it.. now I hear his tracks all the time.

oh how I would love to just fly over for I love Techno 2006...
maybe I will have to see what flights are like around the October time. Why couldn't it be a week earlier then it is Thanksgiving and I could get out of that easier then getting out of work for a couple of days

My friend and I considered going last year, just for the festival, but everything I've read is that it is just too big. Something to experience if you're over there but I was advised by several people not to fly over JUST for the festival.

Some friends of mine in the US have flown over for the party.. had a blast and thought it was well worth it, but I agree I wouldn't go over just for a party weekend.

I talked to some people who went last year and thought the sound was pretty awful too but sounds like that differs a bit from one year to the next... plus lineups from one room to the next can be brutal.. you practically have to pick a room and stick with it.

Either way, I'll be making the pilgrimage.. but unfortunately not until next year!

I would definitely go for more then just the event guys, hence the reason getting a couple days off work

Either way, this is still a long ways away and it is always just the initial thought. I honestly don't mind doing the travelling just for an event though. You only live once right?

I don't know about that....there have been at least three parties this year that killed me

I am about 95% on going to this. This is one party I've wanted to attend for awhile....and Motor is there.

start saving now but flights should be much cheaper at this time to go. Next week you can get roundtrip flights to Amsterdam for 325$ so I am sure it will be reasonable in October too!(but to Belgium instead)

my comment wasn't directed at you Jenn

I've done my share of crazy (by others' standards) excursions in the past..
travelling for 20 hours to spend less than half of that time in NYC recently comes to mind.

Right now I wouldn't consider it mainly because I am in money-saving mode. I Love Techno has been the techno festival I have wanted to check out the longest though, just a question of when... it won't be going away anytime soon considering they will likely sell out 35,000 tickets in advance like last year

I am glad to see I am not the only crazy one around here
That is a huge number for an indoor party too...35,000
