As much as an "anti-Schumacher" fan i have admitted to be for about the past decade, I was mightly impressed with the way he took defeat today. Uncharateristically very sportsmanslike and classy. Had it been the other way around I can't possibly imagine Alonso and Renault could ever accept it so well..
Anyone commented on Renault's tactics? I was impressed with how they managed to put Alonso ahead of Massa, infact Alonso did a great race even if the win was gifted, very well done by the entire team.
De La Rosa was terrible compared to Raikkonen, did he have any sort of problem, off-track excursion or whatever? That was a horribly long gap. Surely that's not the way to convince Ron for the 2007 seat..
Kubica would've finished ahead of Heidfeld and in the points if not for a off-track excursion that luckily didn't end his race. Nice PR move by BMW in the end, telling Kubica to attack Heidfeld, making it sound like 'play if safe' team orders are evil for them. After all, all they risked was 1 point.
Suzuka, what a fantastic track, will be missed for sure..
edit: I forgot to say what an anti-climatic end of season this was. I wanted Alonso to win it, but not this way.. |
