Tiesto
How come they didn't broadcast Tiesto? Does anyone know the tracks he played? I was there but didn't know a bunch of them.

no offense buddy, just my opinion. and what does me being in TX have anything to do with it? I wasn't there but my experience at hundreds of festivals tells me i would have been bored out of my brain. send me an example of one of your 'peak-time' sets to give me a better idea of what you actually spin.
for good examples of warm-up sets at Electric Zoo that i preferred check out Joris Voorn & Nic Fanciulli. Also Jaytech. I personally would have played some deep house/tech house/disco stuff..or classic trance for a daytime warmup set. |
The fact that you were listening from Texas, and not actually at the festival, kind of makes a difference. You don't really have much perspective on when people actually played, and to what kind of crowd they played for. For the first half of my set, there were only a handful of people in the tent... People were only just arriving. As a dj, you would play classic trance in that situation?
Also, you referred to Nic Fanciulli and Joris Voorn's set as a good 'warm-up' set... They played from 3:30-5:00PM in the Carl Cox tent...a pretty peak time slot really. So, you thought you were listening to a 'warm up' set from them on the broadcast, and you were actually listening to their peak time stuff... See what I mean?
Anyway, its all good if you didn't like the set. As I said, I was playing to the crowd that showed up that day, and they seemed to enjoy it. Thats really all I can ask for.
