lunges are serious business. when i was a thrower in track, nobody really cared what we did for our workouts. so one day we got bored and we lunged around the track once, a quarter-mile. about half way into it we were already hurting, by the end of it i wanted to cry. the next morning i got out of bed in a hurry because i was late and fell straight over

It seems like everyone uses much lighter weight for lunges than I do. Maybe I'm not doing enough reps.
I usually do 35-45's each hand after leg press or squats. around 10 reps, more if I'm not crying at that point.

...i don't really use weights for my lunges, decided to switch up lower body today and used 15lbs in each arm which was meh. i'm going to lower the weight next time. don't really need it.

That's a lot. I quit caring about how much weight I can throw around, but focus more on form. I see the meatheads that can throw mad weight around, but most of them look like shit, and have a high BF%

High-rep leg exercises are tough. At the beginning of swim season my coach would make everyone lunge four or five laps around the pool, probably around a quarter mile I guess. Lots of pain.
