I've been browsing through www.isbow.com a local record store in vic and the prices are approx $18/vinyl and ordering from CC would result to be approx $17/vinyl (including shipping and conversion).

Are these average prices for vinyl, or is it just because I live in Canada?

Try looking at UK online stores, they have awesome prices, even with shipping and the exchange rate.
