paris techno parade was unreal... nothing like 500,000 of your closest friends trashing the streets of one of the world's most famous and beautiful cities everyone was climbing on top of monuments, dancing on top of bus stops, selling beer out of clearly stolen super market shopping carts, and dancing like maniacs to 20 trucks/floats with unbelievable soundsystems haha
i think me and my friend drank 7 bottles of champagne during the course of the day
mix club was pretty intense too... to get in, there was a line around the block
when you got up to the door, about 50% of the people were turned away, maybe too many guys, too big a group, maybe not dressed up enough, or whatever
luckily it was just me and my really cute friend janine, we made it in no problem
get inside, the club is insane... about 2000 people, france's best sound system
steve lawler was actually the OPENING dj, and sucked really bad haha... i don't think i'll ever see him again, it was the most uninspiring set EVAR...
but then, joachim garraud came on, and blew the place aPART! opened with his crazy space invaders song, then he just starting tearing everyone a new one
coolest thing was that he had a keyboard guitar hooked up to the soundsystem, so he was totally jamming to the songs
if you ever get a chance to see this guy, DOWIT! deff one of the most animated and fun djs ive evr seen
paris, techno parade weekend, insanity
