Calling someone a retard for being a retard also isn't being a "tough guy," so much as it is pointing out the obvious.

Oh you right wingers and your logical fallacies used to distract people from the truth about your intellectual inadequacy. So endearing

It must be great to be you. Oh how I can only dream of possessing the elite wisdom of a person like you. So educated... so refined... able to look down upon anyone to the right of your deluded ideology from high atop your perch of intellectual supremacy, no doubt garnered from a lifetime of real world experience.

I would have to agree with you on that one. It is nice to have garnered the capacity for critical thinking of my own, instead of having to have my opinions spoon-fed to me by Fox News.

Are you suggesting that possessing the education and subsequently gained intellect from a University education is in some way a bad thing? Perhaps I should have joined the military straight out of high school and just in time to fight in a war that was both unjustified and unwanted. Maybe then I'd have the real world experience of being brainwashed by the powers that be to realize first hand that the administration in power at the time were nothing but a bunch of hawks and we had no business being in Iraq.

Funny that you could be so completely correct without looking past the first row

Another strike. I rarely watch Fox News. In fact, I watch a little bit of everything but in small doses because I can't stand the news. So I read... a lot. My opinions are my own; you on the other hand are a pretty obvious case of someone living in a cocoon who is so entrenched in ideology (leftist ideology), and when challenged on anything that may disrupt your world view, you resort to defensiveness, half baked assumptions (I am spoon fed my beliefs via Fox News and can't possibly be as educated as you), and smug elitism as a way to beat down dissenting thought and reinforce your beliefs. People like you are a dime a dozen. I kind of feel bad for you, as one day you may wake up and realize the dream world you've been naive enough to believe is possible through collectivism and central planning and a president riding a unicorn isn't really possible after all.

Hmmm. Interesting position. I have to ask you then: since Obama spent the better part of 5 years denouncing Bush's policies on Guantanamo, renditions, tribunals, preventive detention, Predators, and the Patriot Act... and despite promises to limit/end/stop such affronts to civil rights, has either expanded or continued ALL policies, will you condemn Obama now as strongly as you like to condemn Bush for the same things? Will you condemn him for spending $600 million in 1 week in Libya and authorizing a bombing campaign?

Yes, from those magical books where words just appear telling completely unbiased information solely dealing in fact.

Yes, that is where I get my news two Kevin, magical books.

I was just waiting for you to post that so I could post up one of my favourite quotes from that "discovery"....
quote:

If you check into this, you'll quickly find that the uranium a) was not weapons grade and b) was well known and already logged to the UN and IAEA and was being stored legally by Saddam's government prior to the original Gulf conflict. It was legally in Iraq according to international law.

I wondered if the right wing echo chamber would use this as "proof" that the WMD claims were true after all. I got even better than I hoped, as not only do they use it that way, but they reveal how dishonest they are by the way they have done this.

lololololololol. So basically, they "found" something that they knew was legally there. lol, nice "proof".

And, no regime change WAS not part of plan going in and was UN resolution was specifically worded as such not to allow this as a reason for intervention. You physically can't show me the language in the the resolution where it does.

Bush was incredibly careful NOT to use that language during the iraq resolution talks at the UN as Russia and China both made it abundantly clear they would veto is there was any mention of the language regime change. They would have veto'd libya but the need for intervention was overwhelming so instead they abstained as they never sanction military action for regime change. Again, proves my point that the iraq UN resolution would never have gone through had it been about regime change.

So...

It was never about regime change and you know it.

US and Britain + 47 other countries signed on as part of the coalition to be precise.

Yes, they signed on to a resolution that did not authorize the use of force, even had they found those pesky non-existant WMDs.
And anyway, who gives a shit? They universally (well, with exception of hilliburton) wish they'd never got involved.

Lol, 9 months to get the handcuffs off You're making this too easy. He needed to congressional approval because the UN didn't allow it.

The British government admitted that they were in talks with the Bush Administration 11 months prior.

Rumsfeld admitted that the plans for Iraq were drawn up 2 days after 9/11, when they didn't even know the identities (let alone the reasons) of the attack.

This is weak man. You gotta have better than this. Are you ill or something? I'm starting to get bored.

Yes. I will. This country is fucked Kevin, like I said. Obama is working within the means given to him, and yea, he has his issues as well. He is not the best president ever, he most likely wont be, or at least that determination won't be able to be made for some time to come.

Anyways, like I said, this country is fucked. The youth are vapid and inane, obsessed with things that do not matter, and if they are interested in things that matter, they have neither the intelligence or will to do anything constructive about it. We are, and will stay indebted to the Chinese, there is no way out of it.

Read Gary Shteyngart's Super Sad True Love Story for a disturbingly plausible view of America in the next 20 years. It will not be fun.

Babbling nonsensical pseudo-facts and theories cooked up by right-wing nut jobs doesn't exactly pose a challenge that may disrupt my world view. As for resorting to defensiveness, well, take a look at all of your previous posts I don't need the idiotic and misguided thoughts of people like you to reinforce my beliefs. The only thing you're doing is reinforcing my belief that the US is in the state of shit that it is right now because of 8 years of "your" thoughts (i.e. the wrong ones). I, unlike you, have the ability to recognize rational thought, no matter the political affiliation it sides with. It just so happens that nothing you're saying is rational.

It's funny that all you conservatives seem to know how to do is attack. Whether it be war, politics, or news, the conservatives in this country just want to attack anything that goes against them. I could even compare the war in Iraq to the recent slaying of civilians by Muslims protesting the burning of the Qu'ran. A completely unjustified decision made by a few misguided people just looking for an excuse to do some good ol' fashion killin'.

I also find it insurmountably hard to believe that you're not a puppet whose strings are firmly held by Rupert Murdoch. Maybe I'm not giving you enough credit. Maybe your misguided thoughts are genuinely original hypotheses cooked up in that delusional head of yours. I guess it's just a coincidence that the people over at Fox tend to think exactly like you in almost every way
