The current system of funding education through property taxes is ludicrous. In a "free market," the poor kids will get cheap-o frozen dinner schooling and the wealthier kids will get the gourmet stuff. Yeah, everybody might get some kind of education, but just like with food, some will be crap and other stuff will be valuable. So basically you would be reinstating the current system, except for the fact that the really poor people could no longer afford school at all.
