Yea Cosmic Fur that might sound comforting that a 24y old ex-drug user that id already having major problems tells you that your brain will not be fried after doing 200+ pills and that only in extreme cases might something might happen to your body, keep telling yourself that.

Different intoxicants have different affects on people. MDMA makes you empathetic, lovey, chatty, helps you accept people, etc. Cocaine makes you chatty, aggressive, horny, etc. The two have very different affects on a person since one deals with dopamine, and the other deals with seretonin. If there is a party where the majority of people are on MDMA, and another party where the majority of people are on Cocaine, people are going to act differently and interact with each other differently. Therefore, the parties are going to have different vibes.

I don't really understand why you try to explain the effect the drugs can have on people. Also it is impossible to control what substances will be present at a party, are you saying you have attended parties where everyone just did MDMA and thats it? I have never been to a party where only one drug was the choice of the partiers. In your previous comment you told me that a party where most people are on some form of drugs tends to be very accepting and friendly and i fail to see that. I assume that you think that way because you yourself are on some form of a drug at that point and it makes you think that everyone is accepting. I have been to Sonic/Guv many times and a lot of the time people were the opposite. Last time i was at Sonic people stepped on my shoes about 20 times and only one guy apologized because he stepped on my shoes 4! times in a row. The last time he said "I'm sorry man, I'm whacked out of my mind.." Very interesting..

Here's a hypothetical question: do you think a party where everyone is drunk, and a party where everyone is stone cold sober is going to have the same vibe/atmopshere? |
I say yes. If for example you would take a party with people who absolutely love the music and have never done drugs vs people who love the music and are on drugs then the vibe would be identical in my opinion. I would never compare a party with SOBER drug users vs NONSOBER drugusers because it is obvious that sober drug users would never enjoy a party as much as they would on drugs, i can almost bet that most people would just stand there and nod their heads at most.

I would agrue that the people who don't know who the DJ is are there more for the music....really....who cares who spins the tracks....I could care less if its tiesto, M & S, MO, Dennis Hahn or any other DJ....as long as the tunes are great then who cares who spins them. |
That is a pretty ignorant statement. It actually proves my point right there, if you say you love the music as much as you do then at least show a little interest and find out who is actually playing in booth, especially if it is mark oliver who's been there for 10years. It almost sounds like you don't give a shit who the artist is. "I don't care who you are, just give me any kind of beats, i'll pop my pill and have my fun".

and that "GETTING" 100% of the msg the artist was conveying sober cannot be achieved.

absolutely disagree with these 2 statements. I've had my share of "getting the songs 100%" while i was on the dance floor, if you were there with me some of those times you would believe me also.
